Stockroom Manager

POSITION SUMMARY & FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for the daily operations of the stockroom to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant handling of materials, parts, and tooling that meet production schedule deadlines.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise daily stockroom operations including receiving, storage, issuance, and return of engine parts, consumables, and tooling.
  • Lead, train, and schedule Stockroom staff to meet production schedule deadlines and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in Quantum; oversee cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy resolutions.
  • Coordinate material availability with production control, operations, engineering and quality to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor shelf-life items and ensure proper handling of traceable, serialized, and hazardous materials.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Supply Chain to develop and ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the Stockroom are adhered to.
  • Identify opportunities to improve material flow, space utilization, and overall efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, AS9100C, and company quality standards in all material handling activities.
  • Support regulatory and customer audits by ensuring full compliance in documentation, traceability, and inventory practices.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety requirements.
  • Ensure all activities comply with established company policies, procedures, and safety rules and regulations.        
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in stockroom, warehouse, or materials management. Experience in Aviation MRO strongly preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience required.
  • Proficiency in Quantum and Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Knowledge of FAA and aviation industry requirements for material control and traceability.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve inspection-related issues.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, mechanics, and other inspection personnel.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand and move around inspection stations, aircraft structures, and component areas for extended periods.
  • Must be able to safely lift and manipulate aviation parts and tooling up to 25 pounds frequently while using appropriate lifting techniques or mechanical aids in compliance with OSHA and FAA safety standards.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach to inspect parts at varying heights and orientations.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand and arm movements for extended periods while maintaining high accuracy and focus.
  • Must be able to work in a repair shop environment.

Basic Schedule: 7:00 am 3:30 pm Monday Friday, additional time as needed.
