PT6 Supervisor

Turbopower is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to assume the role of PT6 Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, results-driven professional with a proven track record of overseeing daily operations within the PT6 Engine Program, including leading, coordinating, and overseeing all maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities. This individual will be responsible for supervising and coordinating workflow, while optimizing manufacturing processes to align with company objectives as well as maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, in compliance with the rigorous demands of the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all aspects of PT6 engine disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, reassembly, and testing operations.
  • Interpret, apply, and provide direction based on OEM manuals, including Pratt & Whitney Maintenance Manuals (MM), Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC), Service Bulletins (SBs), and Overhaul Manuals requirements.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is performed using current, approved data and documented on appropriate work orders and job travelers.
  • Coordinate engine routing and prioritization to meet production schedule and customer delivery commitments.
  • Review teardown findings, inspection reports, and repair documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with the Test Cell to ensure engine performance runs are conducted according to the acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure all work performed complies with FAA, EASA, and OEM regulatory requirements and company Repair Station & Quality Control Manual (RSM/QCM) procedures.
  • Participate in internal and external audits (FAA, customer, and OEM).
  • Coordinate with Production Control, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to address technical issues or bottlenecks to ensure production schedule deadlines are met.
  • Identify areas for process improvement or cost reduction and implement LEAN measures to overcome them.
  • Compile and deliver comprehensive reports on production metrics, team performance, and other pertinent data, providing actionable insights to support decision making and continuous improvement
  • Review and verify maintenance releases, logbook entries, and final inspection records as authorized prior to final sign-off.
  • Support non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor engine mechanics and apprentices in proper PT6 repair and overhaul methods.
  • Ensure proper use and control of tooling, calibrated instruments, and special test equipment.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety requirements.
  • Oversee performance management, including conducting performance evaluations, addressing employee concerns, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Responsible for labor management to include submittal of weekly payroll forms, and approval of time and attendance records.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; FAA A&P or Repairman license, strongly preferred.
    Turbopower, LLC.
  • 5-8 years of experience with PT6 engines to include engine overhaul, troubleshooting, and performance testing; 3 years in a lead/supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of PT6 engine systems and maintenance procedures is required.
  • Proficiency in Quantum, Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel), maintenance tracking software, and technical manuals are required.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, AS9110 Rev C, or other process improvement methodologies and OEM training from Pratt & Whitney (or equivalent) is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and move around inspection stations, aircraft structures, and component areas for extended periods.
  • Must be able to safely lift and manipulate aviation parts and tooling up to 25 pounds frequently while using appropriate lifting techniques or mechanical aids in compliance with OSHA and FAA safety standards.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach to inspect parts at varying heights and orientations.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand and arm movements for extended periods while maintaining high accuracy and focus.
  • Must be able to work in a repair shop environment.

Basic Schedule: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday, additional time as needed.
